46 years ago - In 1976, The Who headlined a concert in England and became the Guinness Book of World Records' Loudest Rock Band Ever. Their set measured at 126 decibels . . . which is as loud as a rifle.
Bands starting battling to be number one. Guinness got rid of the category not wanting to cause injury to audience members.
